But the 3DS seems to be all about the visuals as opposed to the feel.

This is a disengenuous contrast; it implies that visuals and feel are diametrically opposed, when they are nothing of the sort.

Alright, you are trying to scare me by throwing out some big words.

The DS and Wii changed how games were played, how we interacted with them. The 3DS looks like it's primarily going to show what already existed with a different visual output. Admittedly, the 3D graphics open up new gameplay opportunities for some genres, but it's not going to be as big of a deal as the DS and Wii were.

You are obfuscating the real point of the change in how games are played: to be fun. That is exactly the same reason for this 3D: because it is fun, in and of itself. Both have to be supported by excellent software to be viable in any meaningful way, but 3D visuals are no less valid a push forward than touch screens, dual screens, or motion controls (you will note that the DS's biggest game doesn't use the touch screen for anything in particular, for instance).

The 3DS, if Nintendo is smart is going to be all about the games, not the visuals. The visuals will be there to enhance fun, nothing more.
