As far as I know, any unit numbers announced by Sony or Microsoft is shipped. I think that was established a long time ago by sites like Gamespot and IGN. Eventually 8 million will be sold easily before Spring. So saying shipped or sold won't make a lot of difference at this point. Kinect was soldout all through the holidays, but Microsoft kept up on the shipping of the units every week, so I have to give them Kudos for that. It's safe to say at least 6.5-7 million has definitely been SOLD to consumers. Very impressive. Do I see an adjustment in Xbox 360/Kinect sales coming in the near future?

Ok you must be going through the forum because definitely shipped according to IGN. Kinets previous amounts by MS were to consumers, but now they are shipped.

I think I said shipped like twice already. I've never known M$ to announce sold to consumers. They would need to get figures from every retailer worldwide to make an accurate announcement for that. In any case, the demand for Kinect has been high throughout the holidays and after the holidays, so with even 8 million shipped there can't be much more then 1-1.5 million still on retail shelves worldwide and that's actually being generous. We can wait for Microsoft's official announcement, but I'm sure they are well over 6 million sold to consumers.
