And predicting a lifetime sale just guessing what might happen, isn't stupid at all. 

Doing something stupid just means your doing something with not intelligent reasoning behind it. Trying to guess the number of something that will be sold is impossible considering the number of variables it has. Which in my opinion makes it stupid. And iv said its my opinion its stupid so your argument is invalid against me ;)

Here, I bolded the important part here for you.  IT IS A GUESS!.  They aren't saying that these are the figures it is going to be, but what they think it might be.  The fact that there are so many variables means that the only thing they can do is guess.

There are TONS of prediction threads on this site.  People predict lifetime sales everyday here, from games to console hardware.  It is kind of the point of the forums on this site.  If you think that is stupid, then why the hell are you here.  Also, stop derailing a thread about predictions, if you don't like them, then don't freaking post, it is that simple.

Ah but people tend to say i predict bla bla bla which actually means to guess using facts etc. the fact change every day for consoles xD games is a different story as you can make very well educated guesses as they often follow very basic structures. And ill post where i like thank you ^^ And im not derailing it. im simply pointing out something that is do do with the subject of the thread. im just taking a different angle. Magic isnt it :D

please show me a definition of a prediction that says it means a guess using facts?  The definition I found says it quite clearly that it is not always based on experience or knowledge.  Basically, a prediction is somebody making a statement about something that will happen in the future.

So stop making up your own definition of words and telling people they are stupid when in fact you are the one that is saying things that aren't right

No the word "fact" may not be the correct word to use but it states in this definition your basically using logicle thinking. of which there is little that can be used in such things.

yes lets end it as you just lost.  All you are doing is assigning meaning to a word that doesn't exist.  Face it, you are wrong and everybody else in this thread is right.

There you go its the first one on the list ^^ and there's a difference between leaving because you "lost" and leaving because its pointless arguing with some people ^^ And its very immature to say such things as "you just lost". Arguments of this kind don't have a direct goal but are simply a chain of smaller arguments. Of which 1 person can not lose" or "win" the argument itself.
