Not necessarily. Sony IPs are nothing compared to Nintendo IPs saleswise and third party support isn't enough to counter the power of the Wii series and Mario. Even if they were the same price, it is more likely that the average "casual" shopper who buys the Wii will buy the console with Wii Fit and New Super Mario Bros Wii over the console with great media support, but brand names they've never heard of.

Read my previous post,cause that's not what I meant.And your logic is wrong,how do you explain the PS3 outselling the Wii in numerous weeks WW despite a much higher price tag?The PS3 is only 5M behind the Wii in 2010,and that's only due to holidays - people choose the Wii over the PS3 because it's much cheaper,and is an excellent gift.Sony hasn't even had a 5M IP this generation,and yet the PS3 sold close to the Wii this year at a higher price point,which has a shitload of 10M selling IPs.
Now tell me,how in the world is the PS3 not supposed to outsell the Wii if they would have the same price tag?
