1) They are guesses when you are using such a small sample data. NPD, Media Create etc.... apply guesses as well but their margin of error is less due to the fact that they have a higher source percentage. There is no way one can have any indication using only 2% source data which caused TheSources prem data, which followed by this sites updated Japan data being woefully incorrect.
2) I understand this point and agree that all trackers do it. I am not disputing that.
3) Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft inform us each quarter, Media Create/Famitsu each week, NPD each month. Europe is the only one that doesn't but it's also the region that has the weakest reliability on this site. Why trust weekly numbers that have a margin for error of 30%+ sometimes when you can get accurate info being a little more paitent?
So according to your credible sources, what is the current worldwide sales for the ds?
I don't know but VGchartz info can be +- 30% so good luck guessing according to that.
