If someone just want to go swimming that would be indeed stupid. If someone takes an injury or death into account, doing this for the thrill, it wouldn't be stupid even if the sea'd be populated with great whites. ;)

And predicting a lifetime sale just guessing what might happen, isn't stupid at all. 

Doing something stupid just means your doing something with not intelligent reasoning behind it. Trying to guess the number of something that will be sold is impossible considering the number of variables it has. Which in my opinion makes it stupid. And iv said its my opinion its stupid so your argument is invalid against me ;)
