I will probably never care for many more great franchises because of the same reason. Why should the companies bother though. They don't want my money, I don't care about giving the money to them. I'm still going to point out what they are doing is wrong, as well as boycott those I feel are really disrespecting customers.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
