PSP's plus points :
software support still there
Software support is clearly struggling. Only major 3 games crossed the million mark courtesy of Japan.
i know that why is just said software support is there and not that its good but SONY keeps bringing games and makes 3rd parties make some too
sony is known to keep playstation products selling for long time
Any console with huge sales is known for getting support for a long time. However, PSP has modest software for such a large userbase. My guess is they'll focus on PSP2 because of this.
not really,gameboy didn't get good support after DS
Possible alot future SONY phones integrating PSP to keep PSP going for 10 year life-cycle,first PSPhone releasing soon
PSP phones have no real chance of being a success. Maybe they'll get attention in Japan but that's pretty much it.
WHO IS SAYING THEY will get attention but what if you are already buying a phone and you get built-in support for psp games and as phones keep selling psp's userbase will grow
strong SONY first party to keep it going
Have you not seen the sales of 1st party PSP games? The market clearly has far more interest in 3rd party.
i know but i never said what market will accept,i wasn't talking about COD sales but atleast good game support.atleast try to understand and not shun it away staright away
pricecuts
I think pricecuts could keep sales steady, but with PSP2 coming this year I'm not expecting a big impact.
PSP's negatives :
bad software sales as a result software support dropping
Support is arguably just as strong as ever. Just a lack of interest from consumers.
really,are we getting GTA,MGS like games all the time like the PSP had near its launch.todays psp third party games are mostly because sony wants to keep them going,do you really think KONAMI just made MGS PW as they thought they could profit,sony surely must have given them a cut of the licensing fee
So give your predictions and also tell us what you think will be the lifetime of both of them?
my prediction is PSP
lifetime:
360 = 80m
PSP = 90m
I'm reluctant to believe the PSP will reach 90million with PSP sales declining and PSP2 coming.
I'm also unsure 360 will surpass PSP. The gap will shrink significantly in the coming years. The 360 outsold PSP by over 4 million units in 2010. Unless PSP has a huge decline it will be difficult for 360 to surpass it.
I guess I'll give the edge to 360 in life time sales just because MS could support it longer.
