Yeah, you guys are right. It had to be the merger. Maybe that explains their brain dead localization policies too.

Their localization efforts can't be as bad as Nintendo's. NONE of Nintendo's games make it over.

Don't even compare Namco to Nintendo.

Nintendo localises nearly all of their games.  Nintendo even steps in and localises games which were 3rd party in Japan (Dragon Quest IX, Ace Attorney, Prof Layton, Samurai Warriors 3, Herecles, etc).  Even obscure games which I never thought would be localised were released by Nintendo (Disaster DoC, The Last Window, Another Code, etc).  Nintendo still hasn't localised the likes of Excitebots, Soma Bringer and Mario Baseball, but that's an improvement on last gen.

Namco on the other hand has only localise a handful of Tales games for Europe.  We've only got Phantasia GBA, Symphonia GC (and that was due to Nintendo), Symphonia 2 and Vesperia 360.  Namco only localised one of the Xenosaga trilogy as well.

Nintendo's localisation has come on leaps and bounds this gen.  Namco is still shit at it.
