Yeah, and look how little it's changed over the years. Each sequel is usually just a heavy reskin of the previous. There's little reason to add major changes and additions when people will eat up pretty much anything that has the CoD name on it. And if your name isn't Halo, releasing any other shooter close to a CoD release date is suicide.

The shooter/fps genre on consoles is doing somewhat poorly.
