notice the quote "Had the Wii been in ample supply in 2007, the numbers would likely have shown a decline in 2008," - so he's basically saying if Nintendo could have met demand through 07 then sometime in the consoles second year it's likely that demand would decline at some point from the record breaking sales levels it's been selling at in 07.
