Has Ps3 exclusives set the bar for how the way games look like

I think your PS3 exclusives have set the bar higher.  The real question is how much do 3rd party developers really care when it might or might not be worth the effort?  Being multi-platform, it's potentially easier to make a profit on a game with a bigger userbase.  But will making that same game better worth the effort in potential profits of attracting more potential buyers?

Nail hit squarely on the head there.

PS3 exclusives will be technically better than a multilplat.

However they cost more to produce and with a 50 percent cut in potential audience have a much harder task in making profit.

In a commercial sense exclusives are a bad idea.

Exclusives are needed because names of exclusives create an identity for a console and company. Nintendo has an Identity namely with Super Mario, but there of plenty of other characters like Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong and more. Sony was known for Crash Bandicoot, but is trying to find its way to a newer more mature identity. This gen without a shadow of a doubt Uncharted has become Sony's flagship title. Sony has established itself as a brand for 16-40 year old males. Usually the titles and peripherals that a console offers tells what demographic the company is after. Microsoft...isn't blazing any trail for themselves as far as a market is concerned. They are after both Nintendo and Sony's markets. They are a mix of both Sony and Nintendo in offerings now with Kinect and their core titles. The quality is always an debate and is left in the eye of the beholder.
