You're mixing a lot of points in that post - sales, profit, support, etc. But your common points seems to be why doesn't PS3 sell better given the apparent visible support online
I think the easy point to consider is that, no matter how much support you think you see for PS3 online, it's a tiny minority. The bulk of PS3 (and 360 and for sure Wii owners) never once hit a forum like this or post a point of view.
There are millions of 360/PS3 owners. Millions. Yet how many names do you regularly see on forums? A few hundred tops? Less?
On the interent, you're almost always dealing with a vocal minority. It's worth bearing in mind.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
