It's the Holidays...

Most games have a boost.

Don't downplay the obvious success of the Udraw.

It's doing great for a new peripherical with low hype surrounding it.

No it's the Holdiay boost. Why do you always pretend I'm trolling?

Perhaps he suspects trolling because you should explain why it is from the holiday boost instead of just blabbing out single-sentence statements based on your opinion and not actual facts.

What? Are you new around here?

I don't need to explain anything. Everybody who's been here for at least 1-2 years perfectly knows about the Holiday boost. You know the time of the year where people buy gifts...?

And it applies to everything not just video games. TVs, movies, CDs, cooking tools, whatever.

Jeez people use your head.

I've been here a while plus I work in the game industry. I know my facts, but I also take the time to explain them rather than just mouthing-off short meaningless opinions.

What I said was a fact, not an opinion.

Facts have sources, data, evidence, etc. Just saying "no it's the holiday boost" is not a fact. It's barely an opinion. It's even sort of rude. It just shows that you haven't given much thought to the matter but nonetheless post here anyways. Here's some questions for you to answer:

-Why does the holiday boost only double Wii Party's sales but then it quadruples UDraw's sales?

http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/45079/wii-party/

-Why does this game (which started out at 60,000 in the US) get a 4x holiday boost while Sonic Colors and Goldeneye (which started out at about 59,000 and 96,000 respectively) suffer a drop in sales going into the holidays?

http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/45319/sonic-colors/

It's obviously not just a "holiday boost". Games don't just quadruple in sales because of the holidays alone. This game has had really good word-of-mouth, effective advertising, and has even been supply-restricted (which could explain the steady increase in sales as THQ increases stock).

Now you see what I just did? I explained my opinion with facts. If you did the same instead of just saying "no, it's the holiday boost", perhaps you would be taken more seriously and not be suspected of trolling.
