This, Wii Sports and games of this nature made a hard distinct line in the online gamer culture, making a 4 year war about how crappy it was and the gamers that played it wasn't gamers, now everyone is one big motion controlled happy family, and everyone else released their "tech demos" lol

Some honorable mentions were Chrono Cross, The Wind Waker (before release, after it seemed like everyone STFU), most Final Fantasy games now since they generally piss off the core Final Fantasy fans that won't stop buying them (IE me), and WoW has had the same effect of Wii Sports on MMOs "casuals" "you're not earning your ranks!" "when you die you should be punished!" and then everyone wanted to be them.

Also I don't see the hype behind Little King Story buuuuut it's not polarizing in the least, most people that play it, love it, others are just like *shrug* and don't hate it, unless you're hating the hype put behind it, which happens a lot (Killzone 2, reviewers on GT5, Halo ODST, The Conduit, and GTA IV)
