Not at all. If the TLS recycles any technology, considering the developers involved, it's probably from Blue Dragon, Nier or the RE Chronicles games. This game's basically from Artoon and Cavia staff.
Wii is a good degree higher spec than PS2 btw. It'd be like comparing Genesis to NeoGeo, faster and more balanced chips, much more capable GPU, over twice the memory, etc.
