"Well, what other JRPG has been doing alright recently in the region? (This is an actual question, mind you, I don't keep track of JRPGs save for Pokemon/DQ)"
Well a blank RPG search, with EMAA sales priority, Pokemon and WoW are on top of course (I know the latter isn't a JRPG though), and then Final Fantasy is there. I should add that Americas is similar, save for Kingdom Hearts getting in on there.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
