I'd stick with it:  between the Boss Rush mode, the better graphics (and music, in my opinion, although your mileage may vary), and the ability to use a controller I thought it was worth spending the money on the WiiWare version.  Plus, it's a gift!  But the ultimate choice is, of course, up to you.

My question was to know if that was possible. (as in, he'd get his money back to replace the gift)
I understand the improvements, but I kind of wanted something completely new.
Not Santa's fault of course.
