This was more recent, and we haven't seen its effect yet. This week, it's just the Best Buy bundle. So yes, actually non-bundled games did account for quite a portion of its sales.

Of course, but so did the bundles and it ran from the GT5 launch through Christmas. In any case, Forza 3 won't sell as much as GT5 for 2 reasons. 1) It's not as popular Worldwide as GT5. 2) The series hasn't been exposed to as many gamers as GT5.
The sales has nothing to do with the quality of the games. It's like those singing and dancing competition, where the most popular person win and the most talented comes in 2nd or 3rd.

Oh no doubt, and that's not my intention. It's just this poster named extagenesis decided to try and downplay GT5's American sales, so I was just pointing out how it's a fallacious comparison. Now, if GT5 was bundled all around the US, that's a different story.

I could have sworn I've seen a picture of GT5 bundle when it launched in America, so for about a month now.

It was. They had bundles at Gamestop - http://news.punchjump.com/blog/2010/12/23/gamestop-offers-50-bonus-with-ps3-gt5-bundle/, but it was for a limited time. Those babies are gone now and I don't think Gamestop is getting anymore in. Anyway, yes there was a GT5 PS3 bundle in all of America.
You can always get it on Ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com/160GB-PS3-Slim-System-GT5-and-Grown-Ups-Blu-Ray-NIB-/150537803429?pt=Video_Games&hash=item230cc096a5
