I know this is kind of off topic, but surely to almost ensure that a JRPG sells well in Europe, NoE just need to advertise it as a follow-on from Pokemon. Pokemon D/P have sold something like 5m here in Europe and people seem to forget that Pokemon is an RPG of the most 'hardcore' kind (IVs, EVs, etc).
I remember Nintendo advertising Prof Layton like it was a spiritual sequel to Brain Training and just look at it's sales in Europe compared to the rest of the world.
