Wait a minute. Didn't PS3 fanboys say the Wii was dead after having poor sales all year? lol!! Wii is outselling the PS3 right now by more then 2:1. That's pretty funny. It's a gimmick. lol!!  I guess all those exclusives at the end of the year actually worked. I wish Microsoft would do that. Again, it's safe to say the Wii has won this generation. Only another 2-3 years before the NEXT-GEN on game consoles start. I don't see the XBox 360 or PS3 catching the Wii in that time period.

I think the worldwide spike the Wii showed these holidays confirms that it's unlikely either HD console can overtake it. 

The EMEAA/JAPAN gap in the favour of PS3 vs the US gap in favour of the 360 also makes me think neither HD console is going to look like a significant winner worldwide relative to each other and the market, although obviously for Sony this generation represents a drop and for MS its a gain.

So there's going to be a lot of drama but probably little actual major changes in position I suspect.
