I'd be very careful in taking everything that wikipedia says is fact. Since it's a wiki it can be updated by anyone and there can be alot of sabotage on that. Especially for something that is little known to the general population and there is no one to really monitor that term frequently to make sure that it's factual.
Check the sources they list to get a good idea what the law says verbatim. And if a company is willing to eat alot of money, I really don't think that laws would be able to stop them from doing so.
My pokemon brings all the nerds to the yard. And they're like, "You wanna trade cards?" Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I'll trade this, but not my charizard.
