Because EA missed the Wii and to convince investors that they made the right decision by doing that, they had to sabotage many of their Wii games to make them sell less than they could potentially have.

Dead Space Extraction is a prime example of this as before its release EA openly said that it was a test to see how such games sell on the Wii. While at first most suspected this was just said to trick Wii owners in buying the game in order to support mature hardcore games on the Wii, it's pretty clear by now that it actually was a message to investors to pay close attention to this game's sales. And just like that, DSE now serves as EA's ultimate excuse to not have to bother with serious Wii support anymore.

I would not do that if I were you. Rol's idea that EA has intentionally sabotaged their Wii support is not unfounded.

In 1990 they intentionally made a poor football game (Joe Montana Football) in effort to give Sega a videogame yet keep Madden as the premier football title. They PURPOSELY scaled it back in nearly every aspect.

The same thing applies here: EA butchered the shit out of every single one of their franchises that appeared on the Wii except Tiger Woods, but then again, Tiger ethered himself after his sex scandal. Just look at it:

Dead Space No longer an FPS; rail shooter with more dialogue than gunning.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is the worst one graphically after like 3 or 4 NFS games released on the console
Madden After sales increased every year from 07-09, they changed the artstyle to Kiddie Mode and sales decreased by 25%
NBA Jam Botched release; threatened to release on the HD consoles for free for Pete's sake
SSX SSX Blur had the worst metacritic of any of the SSX games ever
FIFA Released the Wii version later than when the PS3/360 ones came out
Sims 7 Sims games in 4 years, including MySims collection
PR Badmouthing the Wii pretty much the entire generation, while throwing everything along with the kitchen sink at the 360. Still post losses every other quarter

Endless bullshit from Electronic Arts
