They need to make a choice here, take adavantage of the huge Andriod userbase and release this software on all android phones or focus on the PSP2.

Impossible.. android is fragmented like a smashed piece of pie.. Google should have demanded minumspecs.. with all the different hardware models and custom software layer over android it's impossible to release this software on all android phones.. Sony would make custom versions for a lot of android device out there.. like gameloft does for it games..

I disagree, the phone market is a very unique market in which the majority of phone purchasers upgrade every year or two. So no minimum spec is needed and an OS can evolve.

Still, your forgetting that the PC market is basically the same. Windows 8 should be released in the next year or so. Releases arent are fast as new phone OSs, but they add new features that cant work on older hardware. So some Windows Vista PCs, that can handled Windows 7, will not handled Windows 8.

Ehm.. we are talking about a possible PSP software on Android devices.. Like an emulator kinda thing.. with all the different models and custom interfaces it's really hard to optimize this kind of software for all those devices.. We even couldn't get a simple TV Guide app working on the HTC touch while it did run on the other popular devices.. took us 2 months before we decided we would just disable some features in the entire app for all devices... and thats an app which is basicly a website bookmark... It's not like when something works on android it's gonna work on the other devices.. It's hard to get optimized apps for specific devices.. Which an PSP app must be.. have you seen how many versions a gameloft game has for android? so a PSP app is unlikely.. minimum spec per OS version could have saved developers from a lot of headache..
