Well I agree. Nobody denied that Kinect is a success (I already said that with my first post in here yesterday), but there are those two points which you already mentioned, that are discussed here. Kinect is a huge success but these points are absolutely justified. I wouldn't consider it a platform (for the reasons I listed in my first post) and comparing it to the Wii is not fair either.

As huaxiong90 already said, these are blind assumptions that there are people who don't admit that it is a success.

Well this thread was actually started in direct repsonse to a thread (which was locked) and some comments in the sales threads stating exactly that.  Dont restrict your search to this thread.

Well, what should we do now? Searching through many threads so that this "some people deny that Kinect is a success" argument is justified? I think we have all better things to do than doing this.

For the platform issue, as I said before: a comparison with WM Plus, the Balance Board or Move would also show that it is a success. The mistake you simply made in here was to call it a platform (and there isn't really a reason to call it a platform).

The thread has served the purpose I had for it... I'm happy with it and I'm done with it.

If your plan was to dig out the stupidest Kinect apologist and make him cut a sorry figure, mission complete, with even a bonus, you dug out also the second stupidest one. There were also some Kinect haters that showed us they aren't very bright, but they paled in comparison.
