First of all i would like to say that I'm not dissing Naruto, and that i think it's a very good manga overall. It's just that when compared to One Piece you'll easily see why this series is so popular in Japan, and why it's so charming that you'll get swept off your feet. One Piece starts off slow maybe. I really didnt like the first arc(buggy) and the Usopp arc was kinda boring. By then though it really kicks off and i think the defining moment is when you left the series, the Alabasta arc. Now i cant have any spoilers here so i'll just say that i've reread the series twice and on my second run i think i really got to know what makes One Piece so special on the second try. Oda just knows how to tell a story, and he can connect the sidestories with the main stories so well that i dont think there is even a slight detail in the manga that isn't significant. And even if i tell you how charming, funny, touching et the manga is, i dont think i can with words. Put it this way i've never laughed so hard or even cried in any manga like i have with one piece. I never felt the thrill of adventure like i have with One Piece! I never felt so moved with some scenes like i have with One Piece. It's just that good, One Piece is a manga for every romantic person, and i would recommend it to anyone easily! |
My favorite part of that general period in the manga is that, of the two women the Straw Hats met on Whiskey Peak, one of them becomes their nakama, but it's absolutely not the one you think
That really threw me for a loop, even when i was watching the abortion that was the 4Kids adaptation.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
