The PSP2 will have an uphill struggle, almost vertical. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it is going to be by no means easy.
Among the PSP's strengths was that it had very good Japanese so called 'hardcore' 3rd party support, such as Peace Walker, Persona, Crisis Core, Monster Hunter, Valkyria Chronicles, BBS, etc. Despite the likes of Persona and MGS not appearing at all on the DS, they are announced for the 3DS.
