>"Kinect was made first and foremost, because Microsoft views the population roughly like this (skip to 7:00 - 7:20 for the >relevant part):"

I have been playing video games since Sears Pong in 1976 and My Xbox 360 broke, but when I was playing the games and would play some of the demos it was hard to remember what each button did.  Like when you load the 360 demos, it will flash a picture of the controller and tells you what buttons do what.  It is very confusing.

So, uh yeah, it makes a big difference dude.  Playing an Atari 2600 with a joystick and one button and simple 2D and going to complicated 3D with 11 buttons and a multi-functional DPAD that also has at least 4 more actions plus 2 analog thumbsticks  that is a lot to remember and it is very intimidating.

So, yes.  Microsoft is right.  If your mind is young and you remember what each button does through trial and error or you memorize the manual for the gamepad and you play video games every night then it might not be as hard.

However, if on the otherhand you never play video games or you have a life then it's not going to be easy at all and it's probably going to scare a lot of people off.
