Well, try it out. They give you two weeks free - and you aren't stuck watching on your computer. Use your Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, many Blu-rays, some TV's or a Roku (and others) and you can watch on your TV.
I think it's a great service - No Commercials or DVD/Blu-ray mystery meat navigation! And the No Commercials is especially nice during the elections. They have many, many flms/tv shows to select from - some come and go, but if you can't find anything at any given moment that you want to watch I would be stunned - and I would sing the "Theme to Gilligan’s Island" to the melody of "Amazing Grace" to entertain you.
Most shows look great, and many are available in HD and look even better. The best are just a bit less quality than the finest Blu-ray. (right now.)
I find I rarely watch regular TV - just a few shows that I really want to watch.
