In other words, they restructured the talent out to companies like Nintendo while the fat cats who ran the company's reputation into the ground (Wada) are still earning millions with a golden parachute if the company fails.

As has been said, this is not the Square of 2000 where the hits seemed to be endless. This is the Square of Final Fantasy 11 and 14 where it is one failure after another buttressed by a decent game like Final Fantasy 13, the Kingdom Hearts series, and the Dragon Quest series.

If anything, Wada needs to go and Square needs to put in a head who will get the company back to the basic formula of what made their games the must have RPGs during the 1990s and early to mid-2000s.
