Isn't the Eyetoy somewhat similar to the wiimote?

No, not really. Wiimotes detect motion up and down, left and right, and tilting back and forth. It has a camera inside it and a sensor bar on the TV, so you could point and aim at the TV like a gun, or rather like a computer mouse. It has a nunchuck which also has all the motion controls, so you essentially double the motion capabilities...it's really not like the Eyetoy.

I hate to say it, but the Eyetoy would be cumbersome and annoying to use in every game...it typically requires you to stand up, stay within the camera's range, and it deals with recognizing bodies typically, it can't detect tilt and motion past a movement of your arm, and there's no IR involved either.

EDIT:  And there's no need to keep spamming about the Eyetoy...keep it in the same post if you've got nothing to add.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
