as someone already said before, on these sites you pay for each bid. So when you win an item, you pay the "final price" plus the sum of the bids. In the end, you might pay those 50 dollars, or even more, and not get ANYTHING for your money. How is that possible? It's easy - you've spent all of the money on bidding, and someone outbid you right after that.
I don't know about anyone else but I'm never going to give these companies a single dollar.
