Until the next NPD figures... i.e. tomorrow. Then the PS3 will either dip below 100k, or get extremely close (105k).

The US is a much more open "cross-platform" market than Japan. Games like F.E.A.R, Spiderman, Oblivion (etc..) all sell in the US - even selling PS3 hardware (although they are available on all platforms).

The same doesn't apply in Japan. Its special, unique software that sells - or sequels to the IP's that are popular over there.

(also don't forget that the US is a larger market - unless something significant happens in May, the PS3 should drop below 100k in the US as well).
