imo wii is overtracked , i cant find a single reason why is outselling 2:1 the best selling console of November.
How do you know? Wii is on fire in the holidays you should know this.
i know... but 2:1????? is that possible, with kinect out there???
maybe kinect is selling mostly to existing 360 owners, maybe wii has been out for 4 years and lots of people know about it where as not many know about kinect just yet.
I tried to tell people this but nobody seems to listen.. I seriously doubt that there are that many people willing to shell out $300 JUST for an add on that currently supports 16 games, and only has 3 or 4 with ratings over the 80% range.
Now in all fairness, 360 is still selling strongly, and I do actually believe it may be a little undertracked this week. However, the fact that Kinect is pushing all these 360s I believe is a myth. What's mainly pushing the consoles is the continued effect of the slimline model, which offers far more value as well as simply more reliable, as well as the mega hits Halo Reach and Black Ops. GAMES are what sells consoles, not peripherals

That does not bode well for the Vitality Sensor that you and a lot of others claim is going to skyrocket Wii hardware sales and keep it on top next year, now does it? Or are Nintendo peripherals exempt from this rule?
PS: I don't think that Kinect is the main seller for hardware this holiday season either though, it appears to be a combination of factors; blockbuster games, good bundles, good price, console re-design and Kinect all put together is bound to have a good effect.

Vitality Sensor could very well bomb, or explode in sales, it will depend on its games, particularly its flagship title, Wii Relax. I personally think there is a huge untapped market out there for a sort of meditation/relaxation video game, so I think it'll sell like gangbusters, and lift the peripheral and console sales with it. But it will be the GAME that will make or break the hardware, not the other way around. Obviously people are not gonna buy the peripheral to admire its appearance of stick their finger in the hole (lol inuendo), they will buy it to play Wii Relax.
