Unfortunately, don't expect to see HD Star Wars for several more years. Shit, it took a huge petition and 7 years of waiting to get the movies on DVD.

Lucas has said he wants to do archival editions, and there is a lot of stuff on wiki that gives me some hope it could come soon.
