So no, there are plenty of games and genre's that can be compared to try and show how weak wii can be in those departments, but that's useless.

2. well we are in this thread, talking about game sales this week, people have done and said a lot of crap in the past, on all sides. I don't care or want to go back months or years back in time to see x individual said this etc etc. I see what's being said now and I respond to it.

HD fans have more than enough ways to downplay aspects of Wii which aren't as strong as theirs in this thread as well. Good example, Modern Warfare 2 360 outsold WII: black ops this week. But why don't they do it? Why don't they do that silly comparison followed by a 'lol'? cuz no one cares cuz they all know what the wii can and can not do. it's of no use to compare those.

If HD fans do the same nonsense as some of you do every week these threads would be way worse.

No, I don't need to back up anything, I'm not writing a paper or an essay to get a grade. And you are mistaken... people make comparissons all the time.... and I know you have seen it. Yesterday? A week ago?  a month ago? Doesn't matter. That's why I dont need to give any links, b/c I know you have seen it before, as well as almost everyone in this thread. And that was my point... I never said people did it today, in this very same thread; I just said people do it.

 

And of course HD fans are quiet right now... but just go back a few weeks/months ago and you will see that HD fans were saying "wii doomed" every single sales thread there was.

I do recall few years back in another forum a Nintendo fan said COD will sell the best on WII!!!!! Don't ask me to back up this statement as this is not an exam and I don't need to do so......

See the problem? I can also point out how there were threads in recent weeks about how Black Ops will sell as well on wii as on the HD counterparts. But hey you are right, everybody knows exactly what goes in these forums

about the wii doomed thing. I have observed this and actually called out someone on a thread a while back on this as well. HD fans will point how sales have declined on the wii compared to previous years. They will point out how PS3 actually managed to outsell wii in more weeks this year in Japan. But I have almost never seen a HD fan say wii is 'doomed'...it's usually Ninty fans respond with that statements to threads, and posts like that. They scream wii is doomed in one week when it's not doing so hot and on the next week when the holiday boost kicks in, they say omg look at the doomzed console now lololol..who are they 'lol'ing at? themselves? Same about games, who screamed games like DKCR will be 'doomed' in threads? not the HD fans, they did say expectations might not be met but they never said it was doomed. THis is like a weekly joke now to me

what purpose would that have? It's useless at this point, we all know what the wii can and can not do in some genre

that's what I pointed at the very begining of this whole argument. Few Wii fans chose to compare MKwii to GT5, why? For what reason? Heck they are not even the same genre. It's useless and nothing but to downplay GT5 sales, which are btw not too shabby at this point. I sincerely hope I got my point across. These types of posts are there to get a rise out of the other side, that would have been remotely acceptable if at least they were comparable on some ground at least.

...and you probably never heard an HD fan saying ''Wii is a fad''. I don't know why you get butthurt because people are comparing sales. Last years people were comparing NSMB Wii to both versions of CoD:MW2 even if the games arent the same genre at all. It just interesting to compare numbers and taking bets.

p.s. NSMB Wii will outsold both versions of MW2 really soon! :D
