Nowadays, with the virtual console thingy is easier to enjoy games that were released long time ago, for younger generations consoles. That didn't happen in the Gamecube era.
Personally, I think is a great to offer the younger audiences, or those who, like me, have been absent for a whole generation, the opportunity to enjoy some classics with an extra offering.
