I have made it into Mexico and it is pretty much the same thing you are experiencing now.
I am considering selling it right this moment because I know by doing so I can grab a game to play after finishing Nier.
I buy Nier for $15 and I have already had a ton more fun with this 68 rated title than the 94 rated bore-fest that is RDR.
