But I have never played one that has been considered incomplete, had multiple game breaking bugs (I had 4 of them in obsidian's new vegas) Or where the beggining is so slow. In fact, I rmember KOTOR 2 and New vegas having a very similar slow beggining where I was naked because I couldn't find any good armor worth using.. Pretty much, Bethesda consistently delivers fun games. Odsidian delivers.. Buggier & worse sequels. What I'm saying is that they ain't even in the same league. |
I think you're misremembering several things. First, and this may just be because you're really lucky, but several Bethesda games have come out with game-breaking bugs. They've been patched over since release, but I assure you they were there at release time. Just check the tech support forums for their games, and see what complaints folks had about their titles: they're eerily similar to what people are saying about New Vegas.
As for the rest of your post, I respectfully disagree. I like Bethesda games just fine, and there are a few things they do better than Obsidian does, but overall Obsidian's plot, characters, and quests are all much, much more to my tastes than Bethesda's. Obviously your mileage varies, but I feel comfortable saying that there is a large contingent of people who feel like I do.
Finally, if you couldn't find decent weapons or armor in New Vegas within a short period, then you probably weren't looking very hard. The excellent Reinforced Leather Armor comes to you easily after modest exploration, you can get Metal Armor from the Vipers just south of Primm, good Medium armor can be taken from Powder Gangers or NCR troops, etc. Were you expecting to get Power Armor within the hour or something?
