I want to say NBA Jam. There was a game with one metric shitton of potential for sales (at least in this era of good arcadey sports games on Wii reaching unfathomable levels of sales) that was butchered during development several times, and ended up being released to zero fanfare on all three consoles, and selling far less than what, in various alternate universes, could have been:
1: A ~5 million seller for Wii, bringing arcadey NBA madness to the masses on a console shown to be receptive to such things
or
2: The next must-have downloadable title, in a league at least comparable to Sonic 4
Instead we have an also-ran that no-one is even talking about anymore. People at least remember Castlevania, Enslaved, Epic Yarn, Other M, or other under-performers. People don't even remember this, and it had the potential to be fricking ENORMOUS

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
