For us, the difference between the PS3 160G and X360 250G Price difference was $100 but now it's down to $50 difference and these days there are a lot of bundles from various retailers (holidays or not) that give you games and HDMI cable and sometimes ever Blu Ray Movies for $499 and the X360 has bundles as well priced at $450 I think. The price has definitely come down for the PS3 in Australia. In fact the cheapest PS3 Console you can buy these days is $436. The lowest price ever for the PS3 here in Aus. |
You are enjoying a very high value dollar at the moment. Not surprising PS3 has come down in price a bit. Exchange rate-wise at $436 PS3 in Aussie is now cheaper than here in NZ. That wasn't always the case. At $499, if you know somone coming to NZ for the weekend you could get them to buy a $599NZD 160Gig PS3 and bring it back for you. Even better if they buy it duty free.
