You know.  I just got the refrence.  Kinda sad really.  Though to be fair they do change his real name like every 10 years or so.

Yeah, I wanted to reference my favorite superhero with a touch of wittiness. From what I've understood James Howlett is his birth name, and Logan was the name of his father's murderer. If anything has changed, I don't really know. Comics seem impossible to keep up on. 

Don't I know it.  Half the time even the online wiki's aren't up to date.

As I'm to understand it, Wolverine was recently a vampire, and also recently possesd by a demon, and I can't find info on either.
