Graphics don't sell a system; software sells a system.

If Sony was in the auto dealing business, here is what they would sound like: "This car is so cool! The engine has so many cylinders, it can go from 0 to 60 in 5 seconds, it has so much torque, and did I mention what it's top speed is?"

There would be no mention of safety features, cup holders, gas mileage and on. All the talk would be about how powerful the car is. Problem is, unless you are selling a muscle car, truck to a blue collar guy, or a lamborghini, the average customer could give a damn about how much torque the engine has.

Sony with the PSP2 is going the same route as the PS3 where the focus is almost entirely on the graphics processing power before we hear about the software. I heard about the software of the 3DS before I learned how powerful the 3DS is.

PSP2 is dead on arrival. I can't wait to be confirmed and feel smug when they announce the entry price point, which if over $250, then well...Anyone want to put a 40th stake through a dead vampire?

It's a bit too soon to claim that Sony is prioritizing hardware over software. They haven't actually officially announced this thing yet; they haven't even confirmed that it exists. All this hardware talk is just rumor.

The power this device will supposedly possess sounds nice, but what I consider the most intriguing feature is the rear touchpad. I'm courious to see how that will be implemented in the games. This and a few other features could be exactly what the PSP2 needs to set it apart from other handheld devices, most notably the 3DS.
