Not sure if GT5 will sell 10 million or even 9 million. GT3 sold 7.14 million in the US, and GT4 had a big drop in US sales with 2.83 but was still able to sell 10 million worldwide total lifetime.
As for 1st week sales, GT4 sold 770k in the US whereas GT5 sold 470k in the US. Conversely, GT5 worldwide 1st week sales trail GT4 1st week. Of course, having the late delay & last minute release date in November and also having virtually no advertisement/commercials/no TV media hype build-up prior to release definitely hurt GT5 opening week sales.
Can GT5 have good legs for the next couple of months? I've seen multiple GT5 commercials in every NFL football games since Thanksgiving.
