To compare these numbers the World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm became Platinum after few days of sales and Halo: Reach is expected to reach 20k copies soon.
The user base estimate for Finland is about 200k... so the GT5 ratio is over 20%.

Gran Turismo 5 speeded to double platinum sales in record time - It became the fastest selling double platinum (40 000 copies) game in Finnish history.
Platinum for Halo: Reach - Halo: Reach continues to be popular and as expected reached 20 000 copies sold required for platinum game.
