To be fair, they don't use actual hardware data to estimate hardware figures for the preview.  They use software data to estiamte software sales, which they then use to estimate any bump in hardware.

So they're estimating that the PSP would jump to 130k on back of MHP3's monstrous opening week.  This has no relation to what figures they'll extrapolate from their actual hardware data.
