To get Monk's Head Collar, you'll have to be online in 3-3 as soul form, and when someone passes the boss mist barrier, a soul form player  gets randomly picked to be the boss. You don't have to kill the host, you just need to be picked as the boss fighter, and you'll receive it.

Thanks. Oh and I've already envisioned something like what you describe...I just know it's bound to happen. Only.....wait, did that happen to you? Did you destroy anything in the house? I find it unfathomable that a game in this day and age can be that punishing! Yes!! (well, not really.)

So anyway, I just have to be in 3-3 online in soul form, some random player walks through the boss fog door, then I might get picked to be the boss? No use of stones required or anything? I've read how to do it on wiki but still somewhat confused.
