When the 3DS is released I see the DS still getting plenty of sales ala the PS2 during the PS3s first year.
When the 3DS adoption really picks up after a year or so though and the original DS family sales slow, and if there is not a PSP2 by that point then there is a chance that PSP and DS sales could level out, but the 3DS will probably be pulling DS like numbers at that point, so why would it be anything to cheer about for PSP fans/Sony?
