But I have to admit to cheating in order to get past the blue dragon. Try as I might I couldn't run past its shooting flames, and that's wioth a thief with high stamina and light on his feet. So standing on the steps quitting the game and re-loading re-sets the dragon down to the lower level, and while its busy flying up to guard the castle entrance I'm running up the stairs. Voila! safe from the flame attacks and shooting the bugger in the head until it's dead. So, how are you meant to get past the blue dragon without cheating? |
Congrats on beating the game. In order to get past the dragon, stand as far as you can up the stairs without being hit by the fire and run immediately after the dragon uses the fire attack. It requires some timing, but you want to start running while the fire is still real close to you. It works almost every time for me, but I do get hit every once in while by his second blast. I always do it while wearing armor, so you have some margin for error.
