Exactly. And the way for MS to grow the service is not through throwing its weight around or offering money hats. It has to be better than Steam and it has to have exclusive content (simultaneous PC releases of MS's 360 games is essential, rather than canning games or releasing them months or years later). Above all MS has to convince PC gamers that it's actually interested in the platform and that it's not just offering a half-baked version of XBox Live. Not having to sign in to the XBox site or receiving receipts from the XBox Live team would be a start.
